Covid-19: India logs new 830 cases, lowest single-day tally in over 6 month

The number of Covid-19 cases in India grew to 4,46,45,768 on Wednesday with 830 new infections, the lowest daily increase in 197 days, while the number of active cases declined to 21,607. These statistics come from the Union Health Ministry.

According to data updated at 8 am, one more death bringing the overall number of viral illness-related fatalities to 5,28,981.

Currently, there are 0.05% current instances of infections overall. The government reports that the country’s Covid-19 recovery rate has increased to 98.77%.

The active Covid-19 caseload has decreased by 942 cases during the last 24 hours.

The weekly positivity rate was 1.05 percent, while the daily positivity rate was 0.67 percent, according to the ministry.

According to the research, 4.40.95.180 people have recovered from Covid-19, and the case death rate was 1.18 percent.

The Covid-19 vaccine has reportedly been administered in 219.57 crore doses as part of the extensive immunisation programme, according to the government.

India’s Covid-19 attracted more than 20 lakh participants on August 7, 2020, 30 lakh on August 23, 40 lakh on September 5, and 50 lakh on September 16.

On September 28, October 11, October 29, October 30, November 20, and December 19, the thresholds of 60 lakh, 70 lakh, 80 lakh, 90 lakh, and 1 crore were all exceeded.

India hit the sad milestone of two crore on May 4, last year, three months later, and on January 25, this year.
